Jesus Died On A Friday Is FAKE NEWS! – by Addison B. Bachman @fictiondoctrine
This blog piece was inspired by a Lee Strobel Twitter thread that I responded to regarding his upcoming Easter message. Lee Strobel is of course the famous Christian author of “A Case For Christ”. I hope his next book will be “A Case For High Passover.”
My original thread became so heated by some very triggered “christians” that I lost my place in all the responses. I was never able to figure out how to finish my point to all the people following along. Early the next morning I went back to make my case uninterrupted.
“Good morning! Where did I leave off? Oh right, it’s a lie that Jesus died on Friday and rose on Sunday morning. One of the best Satanic ploys of all time. Even better than the lie of XMAS and Easter.
So what did Satan cover up exactly? He used this smear to take our eyes off of Passover (Like he used Xmas to smear over Hanukkah), and how this last week of Christ’s life fulfilled every aspect of the Passover week. TO A TEE!
This conversation triggered some to reduce themselves to using fuzzy math to explain the impossible. The impossible being, Jesus couldn’t have been in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights if he died on Friday eve and rose on Sunday morn. That’s only 36 hours or 1.5 days. Count them yourself: Died and entombed Friday eve before sunset to next day Saturday before sunset = 1 full 24 hour day. Now from Saturday eve to early Sunday, on or before sunrise = 12 hours or a 1/2 of a full day. Now let’s add them up. 1 + 1/2 = 1.5 days. 36 hours at best.
What’s the answer then? Jesus had long risen before the women visited the tomb on Sunday morning. In fact, Jesus rose Saturday evening just before sunset, EXACTLY 3 days and 3 nights from the day he was murdered. Christ died Wednesday night just before sunset.
“BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS YOU HERETIC!!”
Yeah, I’ve heard that for the 40 some years since I was taught the truth about the lie of a Friday crucifixion. So hold your pants or pantyhose’s up long enough to get to the conclusion. You might just be very blessed in a minute.
It turns out in the Jewish Passover festival there is another occurrence that comes along every set number of years. This occurrence happened to coincide with the Passover week Jesus was crucified in. The occurrence is a High Passover that makes for a TWO Passover week.
In the instance of the Passover week Christ died in, the High Passover landed on Wednesday. This is why we see Jesus eat the Passover meal on Tuesday. Which he would not of done had he been recognizing a Friday Passover.
