CSFD 1:1 In The Beginning, BigAddison Created A Blog…

WTH? – It’s the question I’ll be chasing.

Most Christian’s, if asked today, “Do you believe we are in the Last Days before the return of Jesus Christ?” Would answer with a resounding “YES!” If asked how they knew it was the last days they would tell you “by the signs of the times”, such as wars and rumors of wars, pestilence, earthquakes in diverse places and so on. When asked what’s going to happen next, or what to look for, you’re going to hear the Christian Science Fiction Doctrine (CFSD).

Here’s the Cliff notes version: In Daniel’s 70th week (A day = a year) the Antichrist is going show up on the world stage as a peacemaker, he will make a deal for 7 years of peace with Israel, but 3 1/2 years into the deal he and his false prophet will break the covenant issuing in the Great Tribulation. They will set up the Abomination of Desolation and make everyone take the 666 mark on their forehead and start slaughtering those who refuse it. The good news for Christians is, just prior to the start of the Great Tribulation God will snatch them up in the rapture and take them to heaven (this is called pre-trib for short. I’ll spare you the mid-trib and post-trib theories), where they will wait to return with Jesus to end Armageddon and defeat Satan and his armies. The End.

Problem is, that doctrine was dreamed up by a Jesuit Priest about 280 years ago. He was trying to shift attention away from those speculating the Catholic Church was the Harlot Woman or Great Whore of Babylon. He failed there as well. Even though that belief is another chapter of the CSFD.

Did I just interest you, or offend you?

Yeah, I know, no one likes to be told their wrong, or they’ve been fooled. I didn’t like it either. But, I did want to know the truth. I did question what preachers, pastors, authors and religious pundits were telling me. Thank God I did.

If you consider yourself a Christian, shouldn’t you suspect you’ve been, or are being subjected to false prophets and false doctrines? Doesn’t the New Testament warn us of them over and over and over again? Don’t you think the idea is worth investigating?
